Voice Acting?

I've always wanted to try out voice acting, but I never had a mic to try anything with. Now that I do own a mic, I'd love to try some things out, but I'm not sure where to start. I know for flash, the author usually requests some type of sample.

My question for you is this... what should a voice sample consist of? I don't really know where to look for useful information pertaining to Newgrounds related voice acting.

Also, I'm in need of animators for a Naruto themed collab that needs to be finished. It's been sitting around for about 2 years, and we all just want to get it finished. Thanks!

Do any type of voice that you think people would want, like a kid's voice, your regular voice, a granny voice... stuff like that.

Here's a tip for you. Stand up when you voice act. Gives you more room to act with your whole body. Remember, voice acting is acting.

a voice sample should sonsist of a variety of different voices that the author can choose from, saying the lines that either the author gave out for the audition, or lines that you think would go well with what he's looking for.

and i wouldn't mind giving a helping hand in that naruto collab. whats the URL?

There, you can get all the info you want on voice acting and can audition for a lot of good flash toons

well Iv tryed for about a year....& its hard for me to find my place.
Watch out for that.
& I guy Told me that just try to do any voice you possibly can.
Really it helps...
Like the Godfather,Scarface,Morgin Freeman.
Its awesome when you get the hang of it.

Well she started up a forum many a year ago... It's called the voice acting club, it's where most of us VA's start there's some really great tutorials to get you started there. And we're all really helpful... so check it out:
